Introduction

Megestrol is a highly effective luteal hormone, which can be used as oral medication in combination with estrogen. This product is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, mainly discharged from urine or feces. The metabolite is glucuronide. Although the exact mechanism of the anti-tumor effect of this product (megestrol acetate) on endometrial cancer is unknown, it is generally considered to be through the anti progesterone effect of pituitary gland.
